Large Installations Can Be Hassle Free with The Kaveman Centralized Access (KCA)

Markham, Ontario, July 12, 2004 - As the size of data centers continue to expand, network installations become larger and more complex to meet emerging networking needs. In order to simplify deployment, management and access of an array of Kaveman for over IP server access throughout the network, Digital V6 has developed the Kaveman Centralized Access (KCA) that enables the administrator to setup a centralized user authentication and permission control system.

Unlike other IP-KVM solutions that require each unit to be individually configured, the KCA uses existing Microsoft® Active Directory(R)® Services for secure authentication and permits administrators to conveniently assign permission control to users/groups for every channel attached to each Kaveman on a network. Once configured, the KCA Website will allow users to obtain server access by simply selecting from a list of channels pre-assigned by the administrator. Beyond simple remote server access, the KCA also provides administrators with the ability to manage firmware upgrades as well as accessing each individual Kaveman device for configuration.

By utilizing Microsoft® Active Directory® and the KCA, the administrator only has to maintain one centralized user database that allows limitless scalability for Kaveman units and its users, making it an intelligent solution that brings ease and convenience to administrators in managing large deployments of Kaveman, as well as accommodating for future expansion.
