Visual Test - The test involves x200 and x400 scope
We look at 3 zones on the fiber, including core, cladding and entire fiber surface. We check dust, dent, scratch and more permanent contamination. More cleaning is done, and some involved cleaning with alcohol. We capture pictures and counts for various dirt/scratch levels.
Optical Test - The test is performed on 1310nm. The pass/fail criteria is based on Telcordia GR-326CORE standard
We perform insertion loss test on all fiber connectors, unless the fiber is physically broken.
Re-Packaging
All fibers that pass the tests will be sorted and grouped
Each group is individually packaged and labeled
A summary sheet will be provided as record
